THE MUSE OF MY HEART

A regal queen walking in a grand palace adorned with rose petals on the floor, bathed in warm sunlight, symbolizing love and admiration

She is the only book I long to read,

Each page an uncharted sky I soar through by day.

She is the muse that breathes life into my silent lines,

Her smile ink enough to script endless tomes.

She alone kindles the sun’s audacious glow,

The flame that fuels the quiet brilliance of my moon.

She is my polished queen.

Her shadow the miraculous proof of wishes fulfilled,

Her presence stills the earth, rendering it breathless.

Her voice commands the tides and whispers to mountains,

Her beauty outshines the brazen sun’s pride.

Her gaze, a salve that heals unseen wounds.

On her wings, I find my unyielding refuge.

She fills the echoing void within,

Guiding me from the abyss of night

To dawn’s first light.

So, I stand, an awestruck witness,

Watching how the sun bows in her presence,

How every creeping being names her flawless,

How the shadows of my past dissolve in her light.

How the constellations murmur her name in rapture,

How the earth pirouettes in the realm of her aura,

How thrones rise in silent ovation.

How impossibilities transform into living truth.

Let me linger in this hallowed reverie,

Until my days dissolve like morning dew.

Amen.

ABOUT THE POEM

The Muse of My Heart is Michael Edison’s ode that likens the beloved to the sole book worth reading, the poet highlights how each interaction fills his world with light and meaning. The poem is a deep emotional description of the how she becomes a source of hope, inspiration and how the poet finds renewed joy in life.

I wrote this piece to resonates with anyone who seeks a poem about love and light, showing how affection brings warmth and possibility into the heart. However, this is a strict personal expression that can relate with anyone who believes and imagine the beauty of love. The poem’s imagery reflects themes of devotion and admiration. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
